Jost Hurler, a qualified commercial agent, laid the foundations for an entire real estate enterprise when he opened a single estate company's office in 1945. Thanks to his innovative dynamism coupled with a down-to-earth approach and clear customer focus, he made a success of the business. His personality and values continue to inspire our philosophy to this day.

New Directions
After Germany had been reunified and the former states of the GDR had been established as new member states of the German Federal Republic, unique opportunities opened up for many investors, including real estate managers. Jost Hurler's company also seized the opportunity and, throughout the '90s, the holding and management company acquired several pieces of land, most of them in the new federal states. This gave rise to a further key aspect of the company's activities: the planning and management of real estate development projects, such as the construction of new commercial premises, office centres and industrial parks. The company's retail experience and expertise made invaluable contributions to the success of these projects.
